The Onboard App is intended for users located in Austria (AT), Germany (DE), and Hungary (HU) only. The App may not be available in other countries and languages, and we may restrict or block access where the Service is not supported.
The App provides digital learning and practice content intended to support preparation for boating-related theory exams and related learning objectives.
Using the App does not guarantee passing any exam. We do not guarantee that content is complete, accurate, or always up to date. Any decisions you make based on App content are your responsibility. App content is not an official source; always follow the current laws, regulations, and official materials.
By downloading, installing, registering, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm you have read and accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws in your country and location of use.
If registration is required, you agree to provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information, keep your credentials secure, and install App updates when available. We may refuse, suspend, or delete registrations/accounts in justified cases (e.g., incomplete/false data, abuse, or security risks).
Using the App typically requires Wi-Fi or mobile data. Your mobile/internet provider may restrict certain services; if so, some App functions may not be fully available.
We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, bug fixes, or infrastructure reasons, without prior notice.
Some content/features may be available only via in-app purchases and/or subscriptions. Current pricing, trial terms, promotions, and options are shown in the App and/or the relevant app store purchase screen and apply at the time of purchase.
Purchases/subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Payment handling, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the relevant store’s terms. We do not receive your full payment card details—only confirmations necessary to provide access (e.g., subscription status). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
You must not misuse the Service (fraud, illegal/deceptive use), overload the Service or exceed resource limits, interfere with infrastructure or other users’ experience, track other people without their permission, reverse engineer the App except where legally permitted, copy or distribute App content, or remove legal notices.
We may restrict, block, or suspend access (including without prior notice) if necessary to protect the Service, infrastructure, or other users.
All rights in the App and its content (text, questions, videos, graphics, UI, scripts, software) belong to the provider and/or respective rights holders. Using the App does not grant ownership.
If you submit comments, suggestions, or ideas, you grant the provider an unlimited right to use them for improving the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. We are not liable for losses caused by improper device condition, incorrect settings, network issues, data loss, malware, unauthorized access, or third-party services (including app stores), except where liability cannot be excluded by mandatory law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life/body/health, or mandatory consumer rights.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel via your app store account. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms, abuse, security reasons, or legal requirements.
We may update these Terms and/or the Service. Updates are communicated by publishing the new version and/or in-app notices. Continued use after an update means acceptance, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, excluding the CISG. If you are a consumer residing in AT/DE/HU, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country remain applicable and are not overridden by this choice of law.
Disputes: For consumers, statutory jurisdiction rules apply. For non-consumers, courts at the provider’s seat in Hungary.
